How does it actually block dust mites? Is it a chemical treatment?

No chemicals at all. It works purely through the fabric structure, so it never washes out. All materials are OEKO-TEX certified and safe for sensitive skin.

Do I need to replace my mattress before using this?

Not at all. Once you encase your mattress, the allergens inside are sealed away from you. Your existing mattress, pillow and duvet are all fine to use. No need to throw anything out or buy new bedding first.

Will it feel different to sleep on? I've had scratchy, crinkly protectors before.

Nothing like those. Our eucalyptus silk is genuinely soft, breathable and silent. Once your normal bedding is on top you will forget they are there. A lot of customers are surprised by how comfortable they are.

My child has been diagnosed with a dust mite allergy. Is this suitable for them?

Absolutely. All materials are OEKO-TEX certified and safe for children, including those with eczema or asthma. We include a Cot Bed size in this set. Encasing your child's bed is one of the most recommended steps by allergists for reducing symptoms without relying on medication.

How long before I start to feel a difference?

The barrier works from night one. Most people start noticing less congestion and irritation within one to two weeks, with a clearer improvement by the end of the first month. The more of your sleeping area you protect, the faster you tend to feel it.

How do I wash and look after the protectors?

Wash them once a month at 60 degrees and let them air dry. Do not tumble dry. The barrier does not degrade with washing because it is built into the fabric structure. Your bedding on top should be washed weekly at 60 degrees as part of your normal routine.

How do I choose the right size?

We offer Cot Bed, Single, Double, King and Super King. If your mattress falls between sizes, go up to the next one. It still gives you full protection and is easier to fit. Our standard encasement suits mattresses between 10 and 30cm deep. For mattresses between 30 and 45cm, you will need our deep fit version which is listed separately on the site.
