This is the question we get asked most. The pillow protector is the sealed 5 micron layer that zips fully around your pillow and blocks the dust mites living inside it. The anti dust mite pillowcase is the washable 40 micron top layer that goes over the protector for comfort and a weekly 60C wash. If you only buy one, buy the protector. The mites are inside the pillow, and the protector is the only layer that seals them in.

Yes. Those symptoms are caused by allergens you breathe in while you sleep, and the pillow is the closest source to your nose, eyes and skin. Sealing it cuts off that exposure. Most customers notice a real difference within two to four weeks. Dust mites also live in your mattress and duvet, so for the full result most people go on to seal all three with our Protector Set.

Absolutely. All materials are OEKO-TEX certified and safe for children, including those with eczema or asthma. The Standard size fits a normal child's pillow. Sealing the pillow is the single most recommended first step by allergists for a child, because it is the surface closest to their face all night. Not at all. No prep needed. Zip the protector straight onto your existing pillow and the mites and allergens inside are sealed away from you. Nothing needs washing, freezing or throwing out first. If your pillow is very old and flat, our anti dust mite pillows make a good replacement, but the protector works on any pillow.

No chemicals at all. Our eucalyptus silk fabric is woven so tightly that the pores measure around 5 microns, which is small enough to stop dust mites and their allergen particles from getting through. It works purely through the fabric structure, so it never washes out. All materials are OEKO-TEX certified and safe for sensitive skin.

Nothing like those. Our eucalyptus silk is genuinely soft, breathable and silent. Once your normal bedding is on top you will forget they are there. A lot of customers are surprised by how comfortable they are.

The barrier works from night one. Most people start noticing less congestion and irritation within one to two weeks, with a clearer improvement by the end of the first month.

Wash them once a month at 60 degrees and let them air dry. Do not tumble dry. The barrier does not degrade with washing because it is built into the fabric structure. Your bedding on top should be washed weekly to monthly at 60 degrees as part of your normal routine.

Two sizes, both sold as a set of 2. Standard (50cm x 75cm) fits the normal UK pillow that comes with most bedding sets. King (50cm x 90cm) fits king size pillows. If you are unsure, measure your pillow end to end. The zip seals fully, so a slightly roomy fit is fine and still gives full protection.
